Zenomix BioLab Private Limited has taken a significant step in advancing plant disease diagnostics by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zonal Technology Management – Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ZTM-IARI) for the technology transfer related to detecting and screening plant Begomovirus. This collaboration aims to enhance agricultural biosecurity and contribute to plant health management.
The MoU signing ceremony was held on February 1, 2025, at the ZTM-IARI office in Pusa, in the esteemed presence of the Dr. Chinnusamy Viswanatham, Joint Director (Research), ICAR- IARI, New Delhi and Dr. Anirban Roy, Principal Scientist, Plant Pathology, IARI, Pusa, New Delhi. The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Archana Dayal, Founder and Director of Zenomix BioLab Private Limited, and Dr. Chinnusamy Viswanatham, Joint Director (Research), ICAR- IARI, New Delhi

Objective of the MoU
This collaboration is focused on the development, refinement, and implementation of advanced detection technologies for Begomovirus, a major plant pathogen responsible for substantial agricultural losses. By leveraging the expertise of ZTM-IARI and the innovative research capabilities of Zenomix BioLab, this initiative will facilitate the early diagnosis and effective management of Begomovirus infections in various crops.
